Practice Areas

We are a full service litigation law firm located in Chester, New Jersey.  We represent both plaintiffs and defendants, and handle all types of lawsuits, though we typically focus our practice on three main areas:

               • Civil Litigation.  A large portion of our practice is devoted to civil litigation.  This is an extremely broad term, and encompasses numerous different types of lawsuits.  Generally, though, we handle virtually any kind of dispute that involves a contract, regardless of whether the contract is written, or even signed.  Examples of these types of lawsuits are plentiful, but typically include disputes concerning sales agreements, unpaid accounts, service agreements, promissory notes, insurance agreements, commercial leases, contractor agreements, the Uniform Commercial Code, employment agreements, and business operating agreements.  This list is by no means exhaustive, but is nevertheless a good indicator of the types of lawsuits in which we are particularly experienced.  We also handle a limited amount of tort claims, such as those involving negligence, property damage, personal injuries, and/or automobile accidents.  Since our attorney began practicing law over a decade ago, civil litigation has been a cornerstone of his practice, and as a result, he is especially familiar with the nuanced laws and arguments that it takes to win these types of cases.

               • Appeals.  Our firm’s second primary focus is appellate advocacy.  Not only do we handle appeals based on civil litigation claims (even if we were not involved at the trial level), but we also accept appeals involving other types of cases as well (such as criminal and family matters).  For New Jersey state court appeals, we accept cases that are docketed both in the Supreme Court and the Appellate Division.  For federal appeals, our umbrella includes the United States Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals (which includes New Jersey), the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  We are also able to waive into additional federal appellate courts, should the need arise.  Our attorney has been handling appellate matters since 2005, and his superb researching, writing, and arguing abilities make him an ideal fit for these types of cases.

               • Federal Litigation.  Finally, we also have a heavy focus on civil litigation claims that are docketed in federal court.  Most civil litigation lawsuits are filed in state courts, but a lot of them are filed in federal courts, too, depending on where the parties are located and the amount in controversy.  Accordingly, we handle civil litigation claims in both state and federal courts.  Additionally, our attorney has extensive experience defending corporations accused of violating various federal statutes (such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, etc.), and so an additional focus of ours is the defense of these types of lawsuits.  As you can see from our Licenses page, our attorney is admitted in numerous federal courts throughout the country, and is able to waive into additional courts if necessary.  He has been handing federal matters since 2006, and the same aspects of his personality that make him an ideal fit for appellate work also make him an excellent option for any civil cases docketed in federal court.

Therefore, if you have a matter in any of these areas, and are in need of a diligent, thorough, and experienced attorney, then please feel free to contact us.  Alternatively, if you have a matter, but aren’t quite sure whether it falls into one of our designated practice areas, then feel free to contact us regardless, and we will be happy to discuss your situation and let you know.
